The members of the Council contribute millions of dollars in tax revenue annually to the locally economy and account for thousands of jobs in Douglas County. Business climates can change frequently. The Council is strong in public relations and a source of information for the entire business community.​

Advocacy

​BCDC members work on issues and projects that are the most relevant and timely to business and the community when setting event and policy agendas. Our approach enables us to create events and programs that serve the public and our members.

It is rare that diverse businesses come together to advocate for the larger issues that impact the total community including the business climate and economic health of Douglas County. Creating a cohesive and proactive voice that achieves real results for all businesses is a key component of Council's mission.
